Alpha Chi Sigma is a one of a kind, as it is the only professional chemistry fraternity. We seek to unify both men and women interested in science and strive for its advancement. ΑΧΣ consists of both Collegiate and Professional Branches.
MEMBERSHIP IS FOR LIFE
The brothers at Philadelphia University are a very diverse bunch with majors ranging from Biochemistry, Biopsychology, Chemistry, Environmental Sustainability, Health Sciences and Pre-Medical Studies.
Since Philadelphia University has yet to establish a chapter of their own, the PhilaU brothers are part of a pre-colony under Widener University's Gamma Omega Chapter. We are grateful for their support and guidance and look forward to working together.
It is a distinct honor to become a brother. AXΣ’s more than one hundred year history has enabled us to bring together some of the best and most honorable men and women pursuing science-related careers. We count among our brothers the inventors of the pH meter, nylon, and Freon, as well as seven Priestley Medal Awardees and 21 Nobel Prize winners.
